Where to buy native seed and plants

Due to the volume of requests we are unable respond to individual emails for plant IDs or questions about gardening, weed control, edible plants, etc.
Our Facebook page is the place to go to get help IDing mystery plants (Minnesota plants only, please), ask questions about gardening, weed control, and anything else related to Minnesota's flora. When you post it on Facebook, others can also benefit from the exchange of ideas and information. If you don't yet have a Facebook account you probably know someone who does and could post it for you. As a suggestion, if you find the web site useful you could make a donation then we'd be happy to respond to private requests.
Please also check the links page for additional resources. If you don't see what you're looking for, please post your query on our Facebook page so that others may learn from it as well. Thanks in advance.
Finally, we know not all plants are on the web site yet but rest assured they are on the list of things to do when we get time. Keep in mind this site is an unfunded volunteer effort so we only work on it in our spare time; during spring and summer especially more time is spent in the field (when we have spare funds to do so) and less on the web site. Regardless, someday we hope to have all 2100+ Minnesota plant species online, plus a host of mushrooms. So stay tuned!
